LaRose takes Doe Run Indoor victory
As the season shifted indoors over the weekend, RS12 Motorsports’ Zander LaRose kept winning. The young driver grabbed another checkered flag in the Beginner Clone Green Plate program at the Doe Run Raceway Indoor Series opener in Palmyra, Missouri.
LaRose’s strong weekend began on Friday when he qualified his Spartan Transportation No. 1Z car second quickest in the class. He started third and finished second in the 15-lap A-Main, rounding out the podium behind Willard Ballard and Parker Robb. Garrett Mohrfeld and Baylee Weber completed the top five.
On Saturday, LaRose charged to the win in his heat race after starting in the fourth spot. He began the 15-lap feature from the pole and led every circuit, scoring his 19th A-Main victory of the season by just 0.322 seconds over Parker Robb. Third place went to Ian McDorman, with Camden Robb finishing fourth and Ivory Ambers coming home fifth.
