Zander LaRose scores Doe Run and Coles County victories

Young RS12 Motorsports driver Zander LaRose raced across two states on Friday and Saturday and took the checkered flag in each.

On Friday, “Z Man” swept the evening in the LO206 Restricted Box Stock Class at the 1/6-mile Doe Run (Missouri) Raceway. He charged from seventh to win his heat race with a last-lap pass, then began the 10-lap A-Main from the pole. He led flag to flag, taking the win 4.774 seconds in front of Karter Bates. Carter Hathman, Alianna Evans and Presley Hall completed the top five.

LaRose and his team next traveled to Coles County Speedway in Matton, Illinois, on Saturday. LaRose raced in two programs at the 1/8-mile track: LO206 Beginner and Junior Sprints.

In the LO206 ranks, LaRose led every lap of both his heat and feature en route to taking the checkered flag with a 0.861-second margin of victory over Bates.

The wins were LaRose’s 14th and 15th triumphs in 32 feature starts thus far in 2024.

In Junior Sprints, LaRose steered to a second-place result in his heat race, starting him third in the 15-lap A-Main. He finished fifth behind Keizer Kramer, Ryker Sumner, Easton Cambensy and Madison Meany.
