Bagby tops RS12 Motorsports at Doe Run with 8th-place finish

The stout trio of Matt Bagby, Harrison Robards and J.R. Henson represented RS12 Motorsports on Friday evening at Doe Run Raceway (Doe Run, Missouri) in the Micro Twin 20.

Seventeen Outlaw Winged Micros were on the property at the 1/6-mile track for the $750-to-win program. The event’s special A-Main format put drivers on track for 20 laps before a 10-minute break to work on the cars. The competitors then completed the final 20 laps.

Bagby drove his No. 42 car to a fifth-place result in his heat race and started the main event from the 10th spot. He grabbed two positions to finish eighth, leading the RS12 contingent.

Robards meanwhile had an eventful evening in his No. 11H machine after driving from seventh to fourth in his heat race. “Dirty Harry” started the A-Main from the sixth spot and had moved inside the top five when he spun and went to the rear. He fought his way back toward the front in the race’s second half, but suffered damage to the right rear in a collision, ending his night. He claimed a 14th-place result.

Rounding out the RS12 competitors, J.R. Henson advanced four positions in his heat to come home fourth in his No. 10J ride. He started on the outside of the second row in the feature, but was involved in an early accident and finished 17th.
